About Edge
Edge is a free daily trainer for quant trading, research and developer interviews. Every topic is a game, every answer comes with the method, and a daily puzzle keeps the habit going.
How it works
- Today: one new puzzle a day. Solve it to fill in your calendar square and keep your streak.
- Problem Bank: thousands of problems across probability, brainteasers, options, statistics, code and mental math, each with a hint and a full explanation.
- Games: Speed Math, Make a Market, the Betting Table and the Desk Quiz drill the skills interviews test under time pressure.
- Train: a review queue that brings back missed problems after 1, 3 and 7 days, ordered study tracks, practice matched to your level, saved problems with your own notes, and a 20-minute mock assessment.
- Ratings: each skill starts at 1000 and moves with your answers, so you can see where to focus.
Where the problems come from
Every problem is written for Edge. Some are hand-written classics in our own words. Most come from problem generators: each covers a well-known problem type, such as gambler's ruin, Bayes tests or Black–Scholes pricing, with many sets of numbers. Edge computes every answer, so the answer key is exact. None are actual questions from any firm.

Is Edge free?
Yes. Everything on the site is free, with no ads.
Do I need an account?
No. You can practice without one, and your progress is saved in your browser. An account syncs your progress across devices and puts you on the leaderboard.
How are answers checked?
Type a number, a fraction like 3/8, or a percent. Probability answers within 1% count. Counting and integer answers must be exact. Option-pricing estimates allow a little more room, as noted in the hint.
Are there keyboard shortcuts?
Yes. On any problem: Enter checks your answer, 1–4 pick a multiple-choice option, H shows a hint or the next solution step, N goes to the next problem and S saves it. In Speed Math, Tab skips.
Can I use Edge offline or install it?
Yes. On a phone, use "Add to Home Screen"; on a computer, use the install icon in the address bar. After your first visit the practice pages keep working without a connection. Syncing and leaderboards need to be online.
What if I find a wrong answer?
Please tell us using the contact below, with the problem number. We fix errors quickly.
Is Edge affiliated with any trading firm?
No. Edge is independent. Firm names, where they appear, only describe common interview formats.
How do I delete my data?
Signed in, go to Account and choose Delete account. Without an account, clear this site's data in your browser settings.
